“Controversial 300‑home Hawarden development approved despite fierce opposition” Deeside.com reports (11th June 2025):
Flintshire County Council approved plans from Castle Green Homes for 300 new houses, including 105 affordable units, on land between Gladstone Way and Ash Lane, despite around 700 objections and concerns about flooding, overburdened local services, and loss of agricultural land.
